Just wondered if anybody on here had built one. I'm thinking about it. I've got a sporterized 1916 Spanish, and am thinking about building a .45acp project on it. Thanks

I have used their barrels on the small ring Argentine 1891 in 7.62 x 39 with great results on 4 rifles and I have two 450 Bushmasters built on Commercial Mauser 1898 actions that are accurate and zero issues.

Zero clue about the 45 ACP but the 450 Bushmaster is an easier conversion with no magazine conversion needed and a lot more useful.

I have 2 Mausers in 45acp with me now on this deer hunting trip. The are both single shot. Large pistol primers are good to 50kpsi with those brutish firing pins.

Did all these barrels come from Rhineland? They don't have a 7.62x39 listed. Will they do custom barrels that use the lock nut? I am very interested in the 450 Bushmaster. I picked up 3 large ring mauser actions at an estate sale for cheap. Just wondering if they do other calibers that they don't have listed.

Yes, they all came from Rhineland who is local to me. I don't think they do custom barrels, all they do is large runs of a good seller then sell them till they run out. A few years ago, before they came out with the 450 Bushmaster, they sold a lot of 7.62 x 39 small ring and large ring mauser barrels. I still have 4 more brand new small ring ones left I never installed and built rifles on. back then the barrels were $100 a pop, very affordable.

Attached is pic of 2 new 450 Bushmaster rifles I just finished. The bottom one is a commercial mauser 98 with a Rhineland barrel on it.

I have built 4 rifles in 45acp using their kits from customers when i was in business. I didn't like their ejector system so I found a workaround it so the gun functioned without that bent up piece of sheet metal.

You've got me interested in .450 Bushmaster now. I looked on their website and they have them for small ring too.
