You certainly got yourself a point, there, shrapnel. But, that’s a mighty big hole in that pipe for such little guys.

How about a nice pre-war magnum? Bob RegMag or one of the non-RegMags after they dropped the Register-thing? Do you shoot with that gun? Did you have the gun lettered?

Very nice! Always the same gun? Is it one of your 38-40/38WCF or the 45 Colt? There is a picture of your 38-40/38WCFs in this thread. The one stamped 38-40, is that also a 1stGen? Did you have the 1stGen lettered? What's the DOB?

Top is first generation 38-40, second is first generation Bisley 38-40, bottom is third generation 38-40 I like the 38-40 cartridge, these are most of them. I have another one coming in a Marlin 1888 which is quite rare...

Being a kid like, my 38 WCF revolver choice would be that new fangled New Service. I also prefer my '06 GTO to the old stuff, just for the record.

Very nice and two of them makes it double nice. I never was a real stainless guy until I bought my Ruger NMBH in stainless. If I had the choice now between the classic look of an M17 or the M617 I'd go for the newer one.
