Why was there no shooting? Dude had a sidearm right? I’d guess if he had it to do over he might come out shooting, no mention of serious injuries to his friend at that point, the first guy to get hit.

I'm interested in hearing the other side of the story but that being said, it's seems pretty dumb to affront a couple guys with guns. The attackers are lucky that the son didn't come out shooting.
