I feed them a few carrots... kinda like candy for them... we have a bunch of neighborhood deer they seem to understand crossing the road and never get hit. More deer in the valley than the hills.... the hills are full of wolves... much easier living in the hood....  We feed deer as well, the soup kitchen was especially busy this year with the drought as our irrigated hay and cornfields were the only deal going. A green magnet. Between the deer and grasshoppers we've spent +$50k on hay to make up for the loss. The guy that chops our silage corn couldn't believe the damage. Real fun summer! FUGG!
