I like those in the oval cans with tomato sauce but can't find them in my area anymore. What store you buy them at?

The ones packed in mustard or just in oil, have to have them with saltine crackers. This reminds me I have not had them in years, will put them on my deer camp packing list...Joe

That's about all I can do for a tinned peel top fish snack.
The ones in hot sauces and mustard sauces.
And then once every 5 or 6 years if I get a strange craving for them.

My paternal grandma (1894-1994) "loved" sardines.
My dad (1920-1981) "loved" sardines.
My paternal grandpa (1893-1973/WWI vet) would buy sardines for them, but absolutely "refused" to allow grandma or dad to open a can of sardines in the house! 🤣
About as close as I can get to sardines is the "Kipper Snacks" (kippered [whatever that is?] herring). Can't recall the brand, but I can recognize it when I see it.
My mom fed us "salmon croquets" quite often (actually canned mackerel) as kids. We fed our kids lot's of it.
Won't eat that canned crap today.
When I fished Alaska (Kodiak) and came home with salmon, the wife and me would marinate fillets overnight and grill them. Anything left over, we made salmon patties!
My mom would have blushed! Damn, those things are good! 😋

Ebay is your friend- - - -buy 'em by the case to cut down on shipping costs. Haven't tried the Goya brand yet, but they're considerably less expensive than other brands, and other Goya foods are very good quality.

Smell reminds me of when I forgot to wash out the bait well on my boat.
