Matt just finished my Sako 300 WM. Bought earlier in the year here in the classifieds.

LOP shortened to 13.5"
Pillar bedded and free floated.
Re shaped the stock to a classic style and re finished afterwards.

Outstanding! Love that shadow lined cheekpiece.
That buttstock has quite a bit of character from one side to the other! Beautiful.

Very nice. What scope are you going to put on a classy rifle like that?

Very nice, love me some Sako’s. A Sako doesn’t seem to recoil as bad as other rifles. I have a 300 Win mag Sako and a 700 in 300. The sako is more pleasant to shoot.

That's what a rifle is supposed to look like ... and I say that knowing how many guys on here love synthetic and stainless. But it just is.

Will find out this weekend. Have some loads that have worked in the past with 4350 and 4831 short cut, plus a few boxes of Sierra TGK.

Great looking rifle! Should be a great hunting rifle! Looking forward to seeing how it prints on paper.

Great scope selection as well!

Very nice RG! Matt has skills.

Did you keep the wundhammer swell on the grip? I'm a fan of classic stocked Sakos, I have three, (well, two as I gave the M591 to my son), but I really love the hunter style stocks of the late A-series rifles. The grip being a prominent feature. Shadow line cheekpiece truly makes this a unique Sako too.

He did a great job on regrinding the pad as well. Quality work. My OEM OCD-ness is off the chart, but I can acknowledge workmanship.

Congrats!
Gary
