Sheeeit... crappy Rem or Win 165's in a 30-30 is about as deady as it gets, if you can hit em. When did they start making 165's for the .30-30 ? I've killed a pile with 150's and 170's but never seen any 165's. Hornady used to make Leverevolution in 165 gr. Leverevolution is 160 grain. Can you own lever actions in NY? LMAO

I keep an axe and some hammers on every pickup.
Or just run it over with the pickup.
A 30-30 will usually wound a deer hard enough that a guy can finish it off by hand.

I am seriously thinking about shooting a couple does with a 30-30.
Or a huge buck. I have, Sam. The 170 gr leaves better blood trails if hit in the ribs. They often go down right there pretty often when hit through the shoulders but i hate messing up those lollipops. Oven cooked shoulder roasts are delish and cooked right, the meat falls off the bone. I have some of the Hornady lever rev stuff but havent used it yet.

You’d seriously be better off beating it to death with buttstock. #slowpitchunderhandsoftballstyle Thats a legitimate question....can a 30-30 buttstock beat someone to death?...yes, just not as quick as a 338 Lapua buttstock beating. Bro, you’ve never seen me swing a 336 like a club. Obviously.

I wanted a Winchester 94, 30-30 as a kid. Folks didn't have funds for another rifle. I ended up with a 95 mauser in 7 x 57, I worked for. Finally got my uncles 30WCF a few years ago.

If you can't kill a deer with a 30-30, you don't know how to hunt.
Shooting your first deer with a 30-30 should be a requirement for getting any subsequent deer tags.

Will a 30-06 kill an animal at 300 yards?
It's the same thing an animal gets at 100 yards from a 30-30.
