Rick, I don't know about your AO, but up here we have deer tracking dogs. These dogs are trained to find wounded deer. I'm thinking finding a dog isn't too much of a leap - especially if you have something with Scout's scent to go off of. Many of these folks don't even charge for it because they simply want to work their dog. Might be worth a shot.

Prayers for you and Scout - I've been there as well with our 2 Springers, and luckily a friend found them a week later, with a litter on the way by then. That was a very long and very cold week, but they turned up 10 lonely miles away. Keep the faith, Rick.

I've been watching this thread. Hoping for good news. It's been 23 hours now. Still hoping for the best. But hope is dwindling. I know how you feel. We've all lost dogs and there's no good way to get over it.

No nothing. Kennel is still out, t-shirt still swinging, wind still blowing ... no Scout.
I lost her at noon yesterday, so we’re at 30-plus hours.
All wrung out here.

Keep holding out hope. I lost a Brittany once. Took 4 days and about 9 miles before she was found. Stay positive. Good luck.

Don't stop looking Rick or give up hope, if she is alive, she is looking for you!
The best dog I ever owned went missing for 30 days lost in the bush as a young dog, she was a German Shorthaired Pointer. When we found her (someone else did), she was skin and bones, she lived for another 12 years!
I will say a prayer for you and your dog tonight :o)
