Just ordered the 2-10X42 Tract Toric. Its going on a Kimber. Will Talley X lows work? Or will I need to use lows?

Call Talley and ask. They answer the phone, and have always given me the correct answer, so far anyway.

I had to use mediums on my Barret Fieldcraft and Winchester M70. I had asked Jon at Tract and this is what he suggested.

Better go with lows. Issue is if the bolt handle will clear the Rear Obj.

Let us know how you like the scope , I’m thinking this will be my next to buy.

I have a set of Lows + Extra Lows. Ill call Talley.

Please keep us posted on what works for you. I have a Kimber montana 84L coming and also want to put a Tract Toric on it but that huge rear lense/eye piece has me concerned.

I don’t know what will work, but based on my experiences with Tract & Talley, I bet it will require mediums for the bolt to clear the ocular housing and zoom ring.

I just put this scope on a Rem 700 in .300 Win Mag. I used mediums and they fit just right. I should note that I generally like to mount scopes as far forward as possible, and with the Tract Toric 2-10x42 anything lower than a medium would have required me to mount the scope further back because the ocular ring would have contacted the rear Warne base.

Running low Talley's on two Model 700's with Tract scopes and zero issues.....

My .308 has Medium Talleys and they're perfect for my face/eyes/stock. This is the Hunter Pro .308. Toric 3-15, which should be the same as the 2-10.

Finally got the link posted with pics. I'm not sure I'd want it any lower. The bolt handle is pretty close with Mediums.

I put mediums on boys kimber hunter to clear the bolt with a nikon monarch ….. and it’s still tight

SockPuppet led me to the Mediums a few months ago. Glad to be help another member in return. I think you'll be impressed by the Toric. I currently own 2 of the 3-15 and they've been excellent so far. Post pics when you get it together Moses.
