I killed these this am, was about 50 yards away. They were trapped in a feeder pen, took me 12 rounds to kill them. I had fun

We don't have them around here yet, but they're into the southern part of the state now, so it's probably only a matter of time.
They'll be fodder for the 99s if/when they hit the area.

Hanco: I am glad you had "fun" - I realize those creatures are destructive "pests" but I would have passed on that shooting situation/opportunity. Free range and I would have been right there with ya. Cool Rifle to. Hold into the wind VarmintGuy

I don’t particularly like killing pen pigs, but you gotta do what you gotta do. I caught a sow with 13 pups, 8 were females. Those 8 plus Mom would have piglets on the ground in a year.

Just out of curiosity, what was the 32-40 load, and were they through and throughs on the pigs?
Still sort of contemplating trying to track one down of some model someday, moreso now that it's a kosher deer cartridge here.

Dealing with wild pigs isn't about free range "Marquess of Queensberry" rules fair play. It is an extermination process.

I've seen 32 Special do a number on quite a few deer firsthand, but not the more sedate 32-40. It punches through pigs, it'll go through a deer... good enough for me 😁

I ate wild pig outta Northern California.
Eating grass and Oregon white oak acorns. Maybe other nuts I dunno………
Yummy.
But man they are extremely destructive to the land.
