So the VX2 is CDS but is simply missing the original CDS cap? Not quite sure what you meant by that? Was it mounted? Any blemishes?

It has the regular cap. When you buy the scope new you can order 1 cap free. The CDS cap is only good for a specific load: Ex. 110 grain TTSX .308 at 3200 fps at 1500 feet above sea level. They are $80 to order from Leupold for whatever. Yes it was mounted. You can tell where the rings were.

It has the regular cap. When you buy the scope new you can order 1 cap free. So, can the buyer still get a free turret cap, or no?

The cap that is in the picture is the moa cap that comes with the scope. So the question remains. What do you mean by no CDS cap? Is the free cds cap from Leupold claimed or not?
