Buck down!
I just have to hike myself 2 miles into another canyon and locate him somewhere at the bottom of the ravine.
He did an Olympic summersault with a 1/2 twist gainer into some thick brush.
Simple to get to him. 😤🤕😩

Using the right gear is invaluable for hunting this kind of godless country. Optics rule for thick cuts when deer appear small against the foliage and thick slash. Bins are Zeiss Victory 10x50 with laser RF Spotter is a Kowa TNS-553 15-45x55 Rifle and scope are a Seekins Elite in 6.5 PRC shooting a 130gr Abond. Okay, okay…I’m slow rolling this, I know. But there’s a reason. Remember I said optics rule? Well, when you find a buck so small that only alpha glass will allow you to see its itty-bitty horns. That’s why it’s important. The question I asked myself, after the fact was, is this buck worth the butt fûck in effort I was gonna be enjoying? Maybe. It will eat good and I still have a doe tag to fill.
