I would say bringin home the bacon is a damn handy skill.... smile

It actually looks like it had a fair bit of fat on the back so should be tasty.

Thanks for the hunt photos too, it's so different from up here.

All the best and good hunting on the rest of your outings.

Dwayne

I’m only ‘quoting’ this for posterity as Dwayne’s briefest post ever.

As a good hunter, he knows when being polite is saying something else.

Top of the morning to you, it's still dark in both of our places but hopefully the night went well.

I awaken with coffee in hand and read this.

Well..

laugh laugh laugh

It's still bigger than either the one Columbia or for sure the singe Sitka Blacktail bucks I've killed. wink

Thanks for the laughs nonetheless.

All the best and good hunting one and all.

Dwayne,

Too little, too late for trying to make up.

Words matter.

Tupac Shanker had it going on until he caught a face full of bullets.

I just incorporated his style into my hunting attire.

I have occasionally wondered where Richard Dreyfuss went after filming Jaws.

2 things about hunting the oregon coast that bewilders me: One is why the road hunters wear full camo? The other is when a small tree falls across the road, why do they always cut it so there is only 3 inches of clearance for each tire?

I’ve had a family of Asians trying to do that. I came upon them struggling on a logging road after a storm to clear a tree.

I waved them off their Poulan, purple wild thing saw. Fired up my Stihl and made 16” chunks of the tree, clearing the road.

I had them rolling logs outta the way that I cut.

I guess it’s Asians that do that.

One road I went in on last year had a spring on the side with [bleep] and grass. On the opposite bank side was was a 3in dia dead fir windfall that was leaning over half the road. There had been 20 rigs pass it and everyone of them decided to plow thru the mud bog spring in 4x4 instead of get out and wack off the limb.

Yeah, but if they got out they’d get mud on their boots, which would then get on the floor mats, and those are a bitch to steam clean.
