Grey Squirrels are known to have what's called Dichromatic Colour Vision, or red/green color blindness. They are incapable of distinguishing between red and green. It's similar to the same sort of red/green color blindness that sometimes occurs in people.

I thought this was an interesting video showing how they see the world.

I have pretty severe dichromatic vision... The plus side is I see definition (edges) very well and I have excellent night vision for a human, hahaha.
