Nice Ruger 77/17 all weather laminate in .17 HMR. Bought this used (minor scuffs on stock and barrel) and sent it off to CT precision for their full work up and cut the barrel back 2”. the full service includes rechambering, bolt tightening and a trigger job. it has a recessed target crown now as well.

Only fired about 20 rounds through it after the work was done.

Pslyke: What was the reason/motivation for cutting "2 inches off of the barrel"?
And did the "2 inches" come off of the muzzle end or the chamber end???
Any idea as to the round count?

I thought the factory 24” barrel was too long for my preferences so i had it cut back (from the muzzle). i do not know the round count.

I rough sighted it in at 50 and my wife put a few rounds through it while i was sighting in a hunting rifle. due to a hectic family life, i only make it to the range once a year at the moment so i don’t have a group measured.
