I don't know if you want to add these to the sticky for previous Fest pics. It was the FIRST one...

I "think" you will find tha THIS fest was at his house in Chesterfield in 2006.

Had an uncle that smoked Chesterfields.

I believe you are correct, 2006 not 2007. Date stamp on the files is early 2007, this took place late summer/early fall 2006. Changed title & post to reflect that.

Jed, Could have written a book ,but no one would have been able to afford it !!!!!

I said it before - that first fest was an amazing learning experience, meeting established collectors, seeing rare Savages like long barrelled 1895s, a solid frame 22HP, custom 99s and listening to discussions that were way above my pay grade.

Great memories!

That first fest is what it was all about. Jed opened his home to the internet and those that attended had no idea what to expect. The 2nd was a "build upon" and the last fest I was ever at.

That was a good time.

It would be nice if those who were there identify some of the people in the photo's. I have a copy of The 99 that I had people sign for me at that fest, be nice to put those names with faces. Glad I still had the pictures kicking around. Be nice if some one else had pictures too!

I agree with olgrouser, being a newbie, I listened, tried to absorb as much as I could and LEARN from those who had been doing it a lot longer than I. There was a TON of first hand knowledge and examples of some of Savage's finest. It was a pleasure AND a privilege to have been there.

And we owe Jed a HUGE debt of gratitude for pulling it off.

I'm in one picture holding the "pig", Gun ,35 lbs lighter, with a white beard now.

I'm kneeling in the middle next to the lady with the glasses. I've got the Fedora on.

The lady with the glasses is Tanya. Just to keep the names going!
