We have teamed up with our long time friends at Sniper's Paradise. We are now the official precision rifle smiths for SP. We are also announcing a new limited addition SWS rifle with HD Rifles and the SP logos on them. Please see the link below for details. Thanks Celt http://www.snipersparadise.com/sniperstore/sprifle/sprifle03.htm

I don't suppose you'll offer that rifle with a McMillan A5 stock as an option? I just can't like those folding stocks.
Is it Friday yet?

We may be able to offer the 308 version with an AICS 1.5 chassis.
We went with the AICS folder and 21" tube on the 308s because it is totally different than any other limited runs like SC and SH. The 300 Win will have a 26" tube and an AICS 1.5 (non folder.

A coupla questions:
Are the barrels S/S?
Why the slabbed receiver sides? My guess is to seperate your rifles from others, but personally, that's added expense I'd prefer directed in another area(like Badger bottoms).
Why Shilen triggers?
Double Why the absence of McMillan handles, other than novelty(which I sorta understand, but personally couldn't buy into,in this instance).
Submitted with respect and heap big curiousity................

The barrel are SS Walthers. We are actually doing the slabing free. Yes, it is to set the SP rifle apart from others. The lengthened ejection port can help with ejection and loading in harsh and high stress situations. It looks cool too.
The Shilen triggers are very good ones. Far better than a tuned factory trigger. They hold up better for repetability in the mud and crud. They hold up far better than Jewell triggers in the crud and mud as well.
Others have used the McM stocks when they did LMT run rifles for Sniper sites. We wanted to be different, plus, the AI chassis is the only stock that is tougher to break than a McM. The AI chassis also has the very best detachable box magazines in the firearms industry. Alot of LE amd military guys like the DBM feature. We can actually set up the rifle with the AICS for less than we can an McM with the HS DBM modified for extreme use. That is the only way I would trust the HS DBM in a deployment situation. The folder came into thoguht because we where working on a readily deployeble precision rifle for shift supervisors in LE. The rifle had to be tough as nails, drive tacks and be super handy so the officers could carry then up front in a squad and be able to deploy precision 308 firepower in a matter of seconds.
That little 308 with the AI folder fit that perfect. These rifles are really aimed at LEO and military types, or someone who just wants a cool rifle that is a limited run for SP.
We have gotten many LE types already ordering for these to be duty rifles for SWAT and even regular officers who can carry a rifle in the squad.
This was a brain child of the staff at SP, my partner who is an LE sniper and myself. Im gonna build me on too The pricing is very low for this run of SP rifles. I doubt that most could even buy all the parts for what the whole rifle is going for. This of course comes from the volume of the run and the relationships that we and SP have with the parts vendors.
Good questions Stick! I hope I helped cure the curiosity a bit

Glad you took the query as intended,as I weren't trying to kick you in the nuts.
I savvy your stance..................

Will the actions all have the "wart" on them? Is the stock and HS Precision stock? Where can I get more details on the stock, magazine and inner workings of the whole bottom metal? Looks like a killer outfit! Flinch

The stocks are Accuracy International chassis systems. They come with thier own magazines. They come with 5 shot mags and 10 rounds mags are available.
There will be absolutely no Jlocks on them Period! These are designed for LE and no way they will have a JLock.
Look for accuracy international on the web. You will find the stocks

Here is a camo job we just did. This may be the one for the SP rifles. This is my partner's duty rifle. We just added an OPS INC brake, lengthened the ejection port and reifinished it with camo that we think does it's job very well. From 20 paces. Rifle in the open.

That is a very nice pattern, I like the cross hatch, it really sets it apart from the normal camo. The background looks way too much like Texas for me. LOL, Good luck.

Celt,
I need one of these like I need another hole in my head. But, be sure to let us know if the .308 will be available with the standard non-folding stock. The price would be too attractive to pass up.
Regards,
Scott

The package #1 rifles will also be available in the 1.5 chassis.
The camo pattern above will be the camo for the SP rifles. It will be avauilable as seen (desert) and in woodland colors.
