She studied with Segovia, and is a very, very good guitarist. Also a pretty good person. I did a gig with her years ago.

I got to meet her years ago when I was dating one of the dancers for Hello Hollywood at the MGM Grand, where Charo was appearing. I went to pick up my GF Pattie, and she said to come on into the showroom and meet Charo. I didn't argue. She and a few of the dancers were sitting on the front edge of the stage, and Charo was playing guitar for them.
Charo is tiny, but she is extremely intelligent and a great guitarist. She studied with Andres Segovia, and he didn't take any but the best students. I played a little bit of classical guitar back then before my hands got gnarly, and I was amazed by her talent.

I decided years ago that if I was only able to listen to one type of music it would be Classical Guitar. I had the good fortune when studying winemaking at UC Davis to see live performances by Julian Bream as well as The Romeros. Thankfully we are not restricted to only one type of music.
