Don't let that out too much, I prefer to be the undercover silent type, kind of like an SBD. Les

Well, now ain't this the damndest thing. Been tryin' for a day & a half to follow Les' instructions but I guess I was tryin' to 'read' something into 'em. When I did exactly as he said, it worked! 'Cept I had a real b!tch of a time converting the Bitmap image to JPEG. As y'all can tell, I ain't real competent with computers whistle

I've been burning vinyl to CD. The options out there are amazing. Here is my desktop from tonight. I'm burning _Merry_Christmas_, Bing Crosby, for the relatives. It was recorded in the 40's. There is a hellacious 60 Hz buzz carrying spikes at 1000 Hz. The spikes produce harmonics every 1000 Hz throughout the spectrum. This is ONLY in the left channel. With Audacity, I can separate the channels, clean all that crap up, then export it to the freeware ClickRepair, to get rid of all the pops and clicks. I also incidentally balanced the channels. The result is an absolutely gorgeous remaster.

Top two tracks are the L and R channels of the unscrubbed input from the LP. Bottom two are scrubbed with Audacity and ClikcRepair:
