Farming on any large scale is almost impossible to get into without some serious backing
Also, believe it or not, farming takes a good amount of knowledge and education. Maybe not conventional higher learning, but there are a multitude of different disciples you need to know. Irrigation, soil science, plant science, animal husbandry, and on and on.
Then, if you want to make any monet you need to be a decent business man, accountant, and labor manager. And on and on and on.
Then you need to realize that you are completely dependent on mother nature and sometimes she can be a surly bitch.
