One was a .22-250 w the old checkering pattern.
The other was a .243

Both were clean and IIRC the .243 had better wood.
One said Liberty model and I checked the web for other pics.......

dunno, did the checkering pattern change in 76 ? (as Im seeing Libertys on GB and other w both types ).

Obviously wood could have been swapped.

Just wondering.

Price was 1250 and 1550 sticker on em, no scopes.

There was a Luxus .243 there. Never saw one in the flesh before. Kinda neat.

If they were red pads with at least 3X wood and had rings those prices were at the top.

Both would have to be borescope as they could be fried.

3 and 4 X wood. Note early "swoop" checkering on bottom one.

I had a 4 digit in .280 rem that had killer wood.
My late old B from 70s was decent.... on one side.

Both rifles at the show today were red pads and no dings or dents- from sides I saw.
I dunno if wood was replaced or what.

One buttstock was rather blonde compared to forend, that has some figure.
Did not handle to see other side.

I wanted a clean B in .243 win for chucks, replace mine that had throat erosion and was sold 35 yrs back.
But I have that clunker #3 in .219 and my dads beat to heck B in .22-250...........

so passed on it. Im a user, not a collector.
Now if a 1A in .243 or .250 sav popped up for decent, I'd proly have coughed up that wad o money in my pocket.
But then Id cry if I dinged up a pristine #1.

So proly just run the two clunkers I have.

I need more time and better health to run what I already have LOL
