We had one and I’m sure we used it although I don’t remember ever catching anything with it. I hadn’t seen it for years but found it when we cleaned out my mom’s house after she passed away. I think my brother has it now.

always wanted one of those things... which is strange because I always had a real fishing pole but for some stupid reason wanted one of those... Dang advertisements...
The worst thing ever to happen to cops is the personal video recorder... Now people can see the truth
I was given one for my 8th birthday. I never caught a fish with it. I wish I still had that thing.
Any of you actually catch a fish using one.
No!
Got one for Christmas when I was 7 or 8. After seeing the tv commercial of the guy flinging the line and lure like a hand cannon. I had to have one....Pleeeese, Dad! I need one.
Used it once with great disappointment.
Never trusted another tv commercial for a Ronco product.

Proof? Well here you go Beaver!
Caught all of these fish below on my Ronco! Smoothest real action I have ever felt, and the backbone of that rod is Steller!
Did you watch the video? That is me catching the salmon in the video. I am still receiving residuals from that ad, since they are still advertising it and selling it by the millions in China now :o)
I remember my bud had one of those fish calls things on a long cord you turned on and dropped in the water. Like off a dock or something. Made a buzzing sound. It would call in the bream. All about as long as your middle finger. We could see em all hanging around the thing! 🤣🤣🤣. Can’t remember what it was called. But the ol’ boy on the TV commercial showed off his monster stringer of some kinda fish and said "It sure is fun when you catch fish!"
That became our "catch" phrase eveytime we dropped it off the dock into the lake.
