I'm thinking about making a few kydex sheaths. Is there any good kits out there with the tools needed? Does an arbor press make the process easier/better?

An arbor press helps not split rivets as you can apply smoother and consistent pressure versus using a hammer. Harbor freight used to have to them for ~$45. I drilled out the ram to hold the die but a die guide could eliminate the need for that. https://www.knifekits.com/vcom/ckk-riveteyelet-flaring-die-guide-journeyman-series-p-2029.htmlI tried to use cut up camping pads instead of the proper foam and it was a waste of time. Buy the good foam at minimum. Pay attention to your temperatures. I found a infrared thermometer helped me hit the proper temperatures

Thanks for the info. Can a toaster oven be successfully used for a heat source? BTW I like your knives on your website, are you still making them?

Knifekits.com has everything you need.
If you wanna make more than 1 or two. Get the right tools to make it easy.
A used t-shirt press off eBay or Facebook marketplace is better than a toaster oven.

Thanks. I used a toaster oven. I’m not currently making knives but I keep the website up telling myself I’ll have the time.
