The owner of my LGS showed me one of these because he knows I like inertia shotguns. Given the price of $350 I bought it thinking it would be a good backup shotgun in case my BPS failed for some reason (plus you can never have too many shotguns). I have had it out a few times with clays and just general shooting for fun and I've got to say it really is a great shotgun. So far no failures, no jamming, patterns well. It might be making its way on up the depth chart to become a starter. If youve got $400 burning a hole in your pocket for a shotgun I would highly recommend this shotgun to anybody. Anybody else with similar experience?

I picked one up in the spring for $399 Canadian, plux tax. Still haven't been able to get out to try it! frown Maybe this weekend . . .

Finally tried it out. Didn’t cycle with 1oz 1200 fps but was fine with 1 oz 1350 loads. Kick is decent. Can’t wait for ducks.

And FINALLY got a chance to use it for geese this morning. Seven birds came home with me today, some real fat boys in the mix. The gun worked perfectly. With hunting clothes on the recoil with 3" shells was fine. Nothing came into the decoys but they flew over or just outside, so pass shooting was the flavour of the day. I love watching those big birds drop!

I have the 3.5" camo version and it has been flawless even with light target loads. EAA is the importer and they have shim kits available if needed.

Also had a great morning with it on ducks last week. I pointed and they fell. And almost a pound lighter, noticeable lugging it in/out of the marsh.

I bought one of these over a year ago to use as a duck gun, but the trip to Reelfoot Lake was cancelled due to the tornado that went through there three days before my scheduled trip. I love the look and feel of the Girsan and it has been flawless with 1 and 1/8 ounce loads and heavier.
