Has any women in your lives tried the Camilla stock from WBY? Do they like it better than other Monte Carlo or classic stocks.

My daughter (35) is thrilled with her .243 Vanguard Camilla, it fits her vastly better than any other rifle she has owned or tried. If / when she buys another rifle she is thinking of a 6.5 cm or a 7-08 in Camilla.
If you have a woman looking for a rifle I would encourage her to look at the Camilla.

I picked up a Camilla in 7-08 for my daughter and wife to use last year. They love it. It definitely fits them better than a classic stock but it is funky. Very thin wrist and weird shape buttstock.
Reduced load of h4895 and 120’s and my daughter smokes them. It’s a tack driver and not a bad piece of wood on it. Very light for a vanguard.

Is the stock the only difference on a factory Camilla model, re: would a standard Vanguard or 1500 drop in?

The Camilla Wilderness Rifle has a fiberglass stock that I like really well.

It is a funky looking sucker but….I have a wife and two daughters. I would like for my wife to handle one at some point and see what she thinks.

Clockwork, the barrel on the camilla i have is a very light profile, I’ve had two other vanguards, both much heavier barrel profile and much heavier overall.
Haven’t weighed the Camilla but i would guess around 7-1/2lbs scoped with the burris ffii 3-9 on it.
The ‘06 and 300 wsm both were closer to 9lbs and wend down the road.
The camilla is a keeper and I’d like to find a wilderness version or even a MkV for my wife.

Friend's wife has one in .308, she is a big gal though, just under 6 feet, but she loves that thing...she says, I feel like I'm wearing it instead holding it...her words. When she first started, I gave her the choice of my battery...some of which are small carbines in the slender, light european style, she prefers the Camilla. She is no great rifleman, but she has gotten 2 bucks with it...one was entirely by herself, shot clean, field dressed and dragged to the nearest road.
Well this is a fine pickle we're in, should'a listened to Joe McCarthy and George Orwell I guess.

My uncle bought a Mark V Camilla in 243. His three daughters all shot bucks last year. I sighted the gun and loved the feel. This barrel shot three different loads 3/4moa. I think they hit a home run for stock ergos for women and young kids.

Thanks KU Geo, I have not purchased one of the Camilla Wilderness rifles yet. I have handled them and the rifle fits me very well. I have not handled the wood version. I am a big fan of the older Vanguard VGL Fiberguard. The Camilla Wilderness reminds a lot of the the Fiberguard.

My buddy shouldered one the other day.....he's asking me how can I buy this without looking like a girl lol. Apparently a good fitting stock as he's been through a few.
