Jim; Good afternoon to you my friend, I hope that this Remembrance Day/Veteran's Day finds you all well.
While I believe you're familiar with the ex oilfield worker from Tuffnell, SK for our fellow 'Fire folks who aren't, here's a couple of my picks.
Oh, language warning on a couple here folks - I did say he's an ex oilfield worker and he currently has livestock. We all know how cattle can lead a saint into uttering profanity some days...

stx; Good afternoon my old friend, I trust life is as it should be for you down on the Texas coast on this Remembrance Day/Veteran's Day Roger.
With all due respect sir, I've heard you talk on a few videos and Quick Dick speaks in that central prairie dialect/accent which is about double you all's speed.
I suspect its from visiting with neighbors when out in the cold you know? Have to talk fast to get it all out when it's -40° half the year, eh?
As well, he comes from very near where I grew up, so that's what half my family sounds like - well without the cussing - but they're fast talkers too Roger.
They, that is to say my family, say I've got a "BC drawl" now, which makes sense because we've lived here in the west for 38 years and it is usually much warmer here, so we don't have to rush the words nearly so much.

Dwayne, I had to fix it so's we could understand it down here...
Come pay us a visit, Amigo! You're welcome anytime!

rockinbbar; Good afternoon Barry, I trust that other than needing to repair some foreigner's incorrect diction that you folks are having a good Remembrance Day/Veteran's Day.
Thanks so much for that my friend, I'll take a gentle correction from you anytime for sure.
When we were down visiting family who used to winter in Weslaco, I was kidding with a young lady clerk in the grocery store. When I told her I'd come from the far reaches of British Columbia to hear folks talk like they did on TV, she replied, "Oh you've got to go to Dallas/Fort Worth then sir. We can't hardly understand them!"
I'll add too that we had a grand time in your state, though we only saw San Antonio for a day and a bit and then spent the rest of the time in the Weslaco area. We did get out to Port Isabel and South Padre Island one day too and that was very pretty.

That's the working theory anyways Roger.
All the best to you my friend.
Dwayne
Was referring to him looking like me, I defiantly sound nothing like that.
