Any news on whether tikka has plans for PRC's in the future? I like tikkas but they always seem so late to the game when it comes to twist rates, new chamberings, etc!

I may just pull the trigger on a browning when they make one and tikka may have to sit this one out

I agree very late. Heck they can't even fill orders for the 6.5 PRC.

Not to hi-jack, but to the best of my knowledge, Tikka has yet to come out with a 300PRC. I suspect that this is because of the 300PRC COAL and magazine restriction(s). The 7 PRC should not pose any issues with the Tikka action or magazine length. Proof Research is listing 7 PRC pre-fits for the Tikka, so that would lead me to believe a 7 PRC Tikka is doable, albeit not yet available as a factory listing.

I agree, I think 7 PRC would be a perfect fit for the Tikka action, and maybe they'll get around to it in 10 or 12 years in the natural course of Tikka innovation... A few years later Beretta might even start importing them.

In the mean time I'm thinking about building one, Carbon six has a reduced price deal going the rest of the year, and their Tikka barrels are shouldered pre-fits.

Can't speak to Carbon Six barrels, but I have 2, Proof pre-fits (shouldered) on Tikka actions. A 6.5CM and 7 SAUM. Tikka pre-fits come close to the definition of 'easy button'.
