That came out nice, going to be nice packing that around the wood's. I didn't know MPI made stock's for lever's.

How much weight did you get trimmed total? Link to the stock you had installed?
I have a Guide Gun with the laminate stock. Dropping some weight would make it handier.

Sorry to see a 1895GS gone for ever.... I can only imagine the muzzle blast and recoil now Can hardly imagine 2" of barrel making that much difference. And I don't hotrod my .45-70 either, so I'm not worried about recoil. In fact, with the kevlar construction and stock ergos, the recoil may feel slightly better. YMMV.
