Winlite stockWe've been talking about these here lately. Looks like a nice one for someone that may need a good stock. I'm stocked up pretty well right now, after buying the Pacific Research and Brown PoundR. Plus the factory tupperware's I run work very well, after being properly glass bedded and painted up. I'm going to be keeping an eye on this one, but don't think I'll snipe it, unless it doesn't get bids and it sells for super cheap.

Doesn't indicate if it's inletted for a Featherweight or Sporter but looks like a Sporter to me.

Appears to be Sporter. Yep, looks like a virgin too. No one has touched the barrel channel or the factory hot glue bedding either, if that is a concern. Some guys here cringe about that kind of stuff. Looks like a great stock. We will see how much it sells for.

It may not be when all is said and done. IE: After the bidding has ended.. If that was the buy it now price, it would already be gone..

Yes, It's a Sporter. There's two NIB Winlites here that I got directly from McMillan when I was a dealer. They used to let the dealers know when they were closing out inventory.....the prices were stupid-cheap. Good shootin' -Al

If it were "buy it now" at that price, the title of the thread might have been "Look what I bought"

2 bids. Which one of you guys are bidding on it? ha ha.. Not to imply I did. I always wait till the last second or 0 seconds.. The way they have it set up now, anyone can do that. Not like the good ol days..

Well, some guys caught on and saw this. Wonder if it will sell for as much as the Brown PoundR I bought a while back? ha ha.. One thing about it, the PoundR is a tougher and lighter stock, but these are nice in their own right.

Interesting. Looks like no last second bids. Sold for a total of around $404.

I bought my first pre-war M70 for a lot less than that! It either makes me old or dumb for not buying some more back then!

I bought my first pre-war M70 for a lot less than that! It either makes me old or dumb for not buying some more back then! Funny. The last rifle I bought with a Mcmillan stock was a pre 64 featherweight in excellent condition. Paid $900 for it, but after selling the scope for $350 and the mounts for almost $200, I only have less than $400 into the whole rifle. That was earlier this spring. If Mcmillan is still not inletting many Winchester model 70 stocks, buying used is the way to go. $400 for a Mcmillan in really good condition is not a bad deal really..
