My brother and I hit upon a real good leftover meal. Take the leftover cornbread dressing and wet it well w chicken stock where it’s easy to spread. Cut and shred the dark turkey meat that gomers don’t eat. We take Cornhusks and wet them for tamales. When they are rehydrated enough we smear w dressing slurry and then add a good amount of turkey. Roll them like any other tamale. Usually makes about three dozen. Stand and steam them in a tamale cooker for about an hour. When the dressing begins to separate from the husks they’re good to go. Remove and shuck them and eat w whatever sauce you prefer. Stunning. No bs.
America, Our Country and we’re taking it back.

Families across the nation will soon seek out to grocery stores to begin preparing for a feast. However, one survey suggests there might be some items you want to keep out of the grocery cart.
The Vacationer, a website focused on all things travel, recently collaborated with SurveyMonkey to ask over 1,000 Americans which traditional Thanksgiving foods they disliked the most.
Surprisingly, the majority of those surveyed admitted that they hate turkey- which for some is the prototype of Thanksgiving food.
Most hated foods for Thanksgiving 2022:
1. Cranberry Sauce 2. Turkey 3. Green bean casserole Ham Coleslaw Sweet potatoes/yams Stuffing/dressing Pumpkin pie Carrots Mashed Potatoes Corn Macaroni and Cheese Apple Pie
The survey found the most disliked Thanksgiving food for 2022 goes to cranberry sauce with 30.51% of American adults saying they could do without it. time of the year for a sandwich again. Annual tradition other than getter fatter and more miserable like most do on the day of over indulgence. of the above I can do pumpkin pie but prefer not to.
We can keep Larry Root and all his idiotic blabber and user names on here, but we can't get Ralph back..... Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, over....

Easily the nastiest thing I have ever had at a Thanksgiving table was Tomato Aspic.

There's a reason no one eats turkey except for thanksgiving. No one really likes it. I know, I know one of you will say how great it is, just follow these 117 steps to cook your yard buzzard and THEN it'll be good. Or you can sprinkle a little salt on some quality beef cook to medium rare and actually enjoy it without pretending.

Turkey, no matter how it is prepared, is inferior to pork, beef, chicken, numerous game animals, etc.
I believe we are having duck this year. Far superior to turkey.

Bust that bird open and chunk it on the fire. Zero cranberries for me, rather have onion slaw.

We always have some turkey, but lots more oysters and country ham. Usually brocoli cheese caserole, some brocoli salad with the raisins, pecans and onions with sweet sour dressing, Potato cheese and bacon casserole, pumpkin pie for sure.
At Mom's sides family dinner, there's always a bucket of KFC and a bunch of 2 litres of generic soda. Usually a platter of store bought cookies, and a big pan of hotdogs. [bleep] crackers.....
