Question for the cooks out there, KG, please pay attention!  "The Warden" asks if there is a reason to cut the eyes out of potatoes, or is it just traditional? (No real reason)? Dull evening here at the casa!

All the ones I've peeled the last couple of
decades has come right off during the
peeing process. What few I have right now
have little sprouts coming from the eyes, but
I just push/rub em off before peeling and
there's no problem

I was told by the old ones they can make you sick, same with tomato plant... I never experimented, just take them off and eat the potato, I only throw away a potato if it's getting mushy and dried out.
