Dead slow in Iroquois County this morning. The wind is nasty and getting stiffer as the day goes on. I've been in the stand since about 5:45, and haven't seen a single deer or heard any shots. The only living things I've seen all morning are a handful of birds, a squirrel, and a muskrat.

Winnebago is the same way. Did see a bald eagle, which is kinda odd here.

Kind of cold here in Morgan county, yet killed two fat mature does by 7:30 AM. was going to let them walk but they spotted me so I harvested them. Plenty of deer here feeding on corn that fell from combine when farmer harvested.

Just got home... saw nothing all day. Only heard one shot around 3pm, way off in the distance.

Mercer County was somewhat similar. Cold, windy, falling horizontal snowfall, barely any deer moving, few other shots heard. So happy that this guy detoured across the field and into the woods broadside to my wife and I. 60 yards.

No luck yet today. It's been a lot clearer skies, but a little colder and almost as windy. Heard one shot real early just after 6, none after that.

Had one doe come onto the property around 7, but it was way out of range and it moved away from me until I lost sight of it after 20 minutes or so. Also saw either a weasel or mink playing around for a bit. Never seen one of those out there before.

Man, I feel for ya. I've had my share of similar days and it's very frustrating. Hope you have better luck this evening.
I was hunting from the ground, once, and had a mink come within 6 feet of me. They are very interesting little critters and it was a cool experience.

We had an immature bald eagle trying to hit the gut pile in our pasture today but our German Shepherd scared it off. She hates any large bird flying overhead.

Still nada here... dang chilly sitting, but the wind isn't as bad today. Heard a shot just after 6, and another right at 8, both way in the distance. I took a crack at a coyote out in the field around 7:30 , but I undershot him by a fair bit. 🤦‍♂️ Misjudged my distance across the corn stubble.

Definitely less shooting than normal, I'm guessing the weather is keeping people from going out, or at least being out as long. It is me. I passed on a yearling fri afternoon but that's the only thing I've seen. Drove by 2 pieces of Wisconsin public land at 3:30 yesterday afternoon and only 1 truck between them.
