I think Andersons are the best.

Never used Anderson...I'm sure they are great

I've used Marvin on a log home build years ago

Currently on my place here as a re model job I used Milgard

Lifetime warranty......even with glass breakage..

Yep...had a bay window that cracked twice....due to settling ???

They came from SLC once & GJ CO the other time

Nice product & they installed 'em too 17-18 IIRC & one 8' slider

Also used them on my garage build in '14

Most likely a store in SLC...our store was in Orem

Probably biggest question is availabilty of any of 'em

Agreed
Seems to vary manufacturer periodically but at this time the Pella lines are very good.

I've got Andersen & think they've been good. After 30 years, holding tight, sliding, sealing like they should.

But Tikkanuts mention of Milgards warranty of even glass breakage makes me take notice. I've got an outer pane that's cracked. Anderson wants about $350 for a new cartridge.

I'm happy with Milgard's

They are a vinyl

Close/lock good

And that 8' slider to the patio...leads you here

We put Marvins in our current house (built in 2005). We would not use them again.

Richard, your Pella window doesn't seem to line up very well. It's crooked.

Nope. They just spend lots of money on advertising.

Anderson and Marvin built in Minnesota go back and forth over the decades on better or best. Others have advanced as noted above. All manufacturers seem to have upper and lower lines so it’s what do you really need or want.
In my place in northern MN I went with the Pella Architectural series and they have been super. Tough conditions.
Im doing a conversion on property in Utah and due to what I’ve experienced I’ve gone again with Pella down there.

My two cents, good luck.

Scott, that's a single hung, I used it as a slider. I'm cheap!

Andersens are good windows but the Renewal by Andersen is a ripoff. Way too expensive imo. If going vinyl then milgard is a good choice as tikka noted. Find a good local contractor to do the work.
