Day 2 of NY Southern zone deer season.

20 degree temps, wind chill 8 degrees

Blizzard-like snow, winds steady 15-20 mph

Deer seemed to have found holes to crawl in and have battened down their hatches

Hunter’s live for GOOD TIMES like these!

WOO-HOO

I never thought I was truly deer hunting unless I was cold and in pain.

Great pic. Brings up good memories of PA mountain hunts past.

We had 2 hunters not make the trip with us this year, and after seeing this pic, they just don’t seem too depressed that they couldn’t make it. Snow this morning reminded me of the Colorado blizzard we got stuck in, hunting there in 2013!

I just keep telling myself 2 things….

You love doing this!

I dunno, Doc. I ain't sure that looks like too much fun to me anymore. laugh

I think killing 'em in September while wearin' shorts is preferable. smile

Lol…this is a buddy of mine when we hunted here back in 2018. Same state forest. Next day snow was nuts deep. Lake effect snow is so much fun!
