I purchased a 700 adl in 1978; it didn't come with a strap. Maybe something the vendor added? No ADL's weren't equipped with factory sling swivel studs either. Only a BDL deal...mb

+1 on the Remington carry strap, I've used one for many years. Yowsa some of the slings being mentioned are P-R-I-C-E-Y ! Look around the next gunshow, Remington carry straps can be found for $5 - $10.
