Anybody wearing these?

Temps under 30°. Regiment for warm feet while stand hunting, only walk is to and from truck.

Like em, true to fit, moisture management and all the other usual questions?

I am using these. Really like the traction, its much softer than other boots, and therefore grips alot better on snowy frozen ground. Because they are softer, they will wear out quicker, and need resoled. I have 2 hard years on mine, will get 1 more, and they will have to be sent in. Got too close to the fire last year and the rand started coming unglued. Had to send them in to get reglued. Never had happen with my Hanwags. Stitching and comfort have been quite good, and they have kept me good and warm. Good boots, but not as durable as my hanwags.

I hunted them for 6 days last week in the frank church. Highest temp 20* lowest -5*. 5 inches is snow the whole time. My feet didn't get cold.

Insulated explorers. General day last week went something like this: An hour of walking in the dark to get to a ridge or drainage that we were going to hunt. Hunt slow and glass at daylight until about 10:30. Get on a good vantage point, build a fire and glass until about 2:30. Slowly move and hunt/ glass until dark, then an hour to an hour and a half in the dark back to camp. Repeat, with the exception of boning out and carrying out a buck. Even during sitting and glassing my feet were pretty warm. Was wearing 1 med size pair of wool socks. If you are familiar with the frank church at all,it is extremely rugged and verticle. Lots of hard climbing, and steep decents. There is NO flat ground.

Sounds like a lot more movement than I will be doing. These will be for 12 hours sitting in a deer stand or same in a natural blind. Doesn't mean those won't work for me though.

I’ve got the Hoffman Pro Thinsulate pacs in 12 & 14”. The 14” have the screw in studs for ice traction.

I wear them all winter and they are wonderful. I’d never buy another brand.

Not sure about the explorer but if they are similar in quality to the Pacs I think you’ll like them provided the foot bed matches your foot ok.

Btw - Black Friday sale going on now it looks like.

I've got the Hoffman pacs as well. Best pacs I've ever owned. They make their own pacs in Idaho. The hunting boots( explorers) are outsourced. Made in Europe I believe.

For sitting that long, I think I would go with a pac with a nice wool liner. Tough to beat for what your describing. Hoffman makes really good pacs as well.
