This may vary by area, but what should it cost roughly to have a roof replaced on a 18’ camper. Mine has a big soft spot and it’s starting to show signs of water seeping in. Trying to figure if it’s worth it?
These things are not built to last…

A company named RV Roof Armor will do this cheaper than replacing a rubber roof. Look them up on the internet.

If the roof structure is rotting, you might have to take the old roof off and rebuild it. If it's still good, take a look at Liquid Roof. It's a 2 part product that cures to be EPDM, rubber, the same stuff that they use on RV's and buildings. You mix it and paint it on with a roller. It seals everything and is impervious to water and UV. Being rubber, it's flexible so it won't crack as you drive. I used it on an old camper at least 5 years ago and it still looks like new. Mine has a big soft spot and it’s starting to show signs of water seeping in. Too late to try to fix it- - - -particularly if the roof supports are wood. Aluminum roof ribs with OSB or some other type of deck under the span, maybe, but it's going to be expensive. Find some old snowbirds who have gotten too long in the tooth to travel any more and offer to buy their "experienced" rig for pennies on the dollar.

A friend had the back half of his replaced last year for $7,000. His is a 30 ft Forrest River. That may give you an idea of what it might cost you. I believe the expensive part was the rebuilding of the structure. Good luck.

These things are not built to last… If you have a soft spot in the roof you must fix the damage first then you can repair the roof membrane. Also check with your insurance company as one of the guys I worked with had a leaking roof and his insurance paid to fix the entire thing.

Personally I would distrust anyone who uses that rough finish roofing materials. The smoother the finish, the faster the water gets off the roof, the less chance the water has to get in.....
