I would not buy something that runs on any kind of primer given the possibility of primer shortages and even regulations. In fact, why not buy a flintlock? Really. Rocks aren't going away anytime soon.

I have a pedersoli knockoff and my coworker has a Shiloh. Not much difference in accuracy, but the Shiloh is definitely put together better.
Congrats. I load mine with paper patched postell bullets with true blackpowder. It’s makes no difference with regard to accuracy, but it sure seems neater to shoot.
Mine has a shotgun style stock and his is straight like yours… it kicks like a mule in comparison- he was glad he went with the 45/70 vs the 45/120 he planned on initially.
