Anyone else love these flat base Hornady bullets like I do? Shot a WT doe Saturday with my M7 7-08, 1/4 towards at 60 yards. Same typical boring result, quarter size exit in the offside ribs, ran 30 yards and piled up. For me they are easy to load, accurate enough (usually MOA or better) and just flat work on deer sized game. I find that for eastern woods there just isn’t a need for whizbang bullets when velocities are kept reasonable. These have been working for me for years in 243, 308/30-06 and 7-08.

Wouldn’t surprise me if they were discontinued though since they aren’t as sleek as the BT version or don’t have the plastic pointy tip

They work in 7 mag velocities also!

I doubt they have any plans to discontinue them, my lgs recieved a case of 708 in them the other day. I've always shots 120nbt out of my 708, but I picked up some boxes to have. Need to try them out.

They work well out of my 7x57 on Wisconsin whitetails.

Prefer 154 Interlocks in 7mm-08

The 139’s are very accurate in my 7mm-08’s. I’ve got enough on the shelf to probably last the rest of my shooting life. But I still prefer 120 gr. Ballistic Tips.

i'm down to y last 100 and 30 some 140 partitons but was able to find 3 boxes of the 139 hornadys. my hopes are I can pretty easily replace the hornady in my 280 load of 60 gr of H4831

I have about 300 left to use in my 7x57.

They just work.

I collected up about 1500 of them. But, then got turned on to 155 Scenar’s, of which I have +/- 3000 and have little reason to switch.

Like the 154 Hornady or the 129 6.5 mm bullet..

If I ever was down to using 7mm and 6.5 mm, these are the bullets I'd use...

They simply work.. and is why they haven't been replaced with all the newer fancy desireable featured bullets.. plastic tips etc.

Yes, they do! I still have lots loaded up at 3,100 fps. I killed quite a few deer with them over the years. I rarely shoot my 7's anymore, but I like that bullet-and also most other Interlocks.

I've used Interlocks almost exclusively since I started reloading over thirty years ago. Probably due to my first manual being Hornady's. But I've never seen a reason to switch, other than curiosity. But, in my 7x57s, I only use the 139s. If it ain't broke...

Currently have 3 7mm08's and all shoot that bullet great.
Deer hate it! Have no reason to look at anything else.

My experience with Hornady bullets is very positive, especially with deer. To be clear, for the last 10 years or so I have used Nosler Partitions for all my hunting of antelope, deer, pigs, and elk. But that doesn't mean I don't respect the Hornady brand.

I have used the 139gr boat tail version since 1991 in my .280 with nothing but excellent results on game and targets. Used same for reduced loads in my two kid's 7-08s. Nothing but sub-golf ball sized groups one shot kills with muzzle velocities starting at 2200 fps when they were little, up to 2800fps now that they are bigger. Just kept tipping the can of H4895 a little steeper every year and bringing home venison.

and so does the 129 SP Hornady, when you are shooting a 6.5 of some sort.

I load 7-08 for a friend of mine and I started him with the 139 Interlock. Worked great.

Yep. My go-to for my .260s.

Yep, these are my all time favourite cup and core bullets for deer, pigs, goats and just general hunting in standard calibres. I usually load the flatbase and have found them as accurate as Sierras. I hope Hornady keep making them. I tend to load Ballistic Tips and Accubonds if I want a tipped bullet and Hornady for soft points.

.24 - 87gn, 100gn (243)

.26 - 129gn (6.5x55, 6.5CM). I've loaded some 140gn in my 6.5-284 but haven't fired them yet.
.28 - 139gn (280)
.30 - 150gn (308), 165gn (30-06)
.31 - 174gn (303B)
.35 - 200gn (35W)
