just a few years ago Taurus was having many quality control issues it would seem. I'm seeing several newer models coming out that look appealing but have they fixed some of their quality issues? the revolvers were really known for being and coming out of time was the worst thing I remember

I have four Taurus revolvers. One is more than 10 years old -- so from the window people complain about -- and it's never had a single issue. The other three, a 38+p and 2 .357s have never had any problems, either. They get used pretty frequently. I'd have zero concerns about a new one. And, frankly, a few people I hunt with have had problems with recent-production S&Ws.

I've got a 605 stainless, and have had zero problems. Shot it quite a bit too.
Why do I have to press 1, for English?

I have had a .44 Special for about 20 years. I've never had any issues with it at all. But this guy did.

I have a 941, a Raging Bee, and the wife has a 85CH. Not a single issue with any, other than the usual crappy double action trigger pulls on the 941 and the Raging Bee. Tend to shoot both of them single action anyway though.

I have a 20 yr old 45 colt 5 shot. The trigger improves with use. Best double action trigger I've ever had. Double action trigger pull is so smooth I can stop just before it releases the hammer and back off without firing. Cycles with the double action trigger pull between all cylinders without firing unless I want to. I'm up over 5,000 rds and it has been great. Mostly shooting cast bullets. Only wish I could have a little longer barrel than 2". The fixed sights took a little ingenuity to get regulated. I wouldn't trade this one for anything. Well, almost anything.

There's a Taurus Stainless 441 on GB right now starting at 500 with no bids. If I hadnt bought one 25 years ago for 300 brand new, I would be all over this one. 5 shot K frame 44 special. Carries like a model 66 with the punch of a 629 using Keith handloads. No quality issues back when they were made either.

I’ve a few over the years. Never had any issues. The 44mag Raging Bull was bulky but a sweet shooter.

I’ve had a bunch and most shot really well. I did break one spring. But they replaced it. I’d buy another in a heartbeat

I guess I'm the "odd man out" - in the mid '90's, I had a Taurus 22 (941? - I don't recall the model) Went back for work 6 times, accuracy issues 8 " group at 25 yards, the company rep finally suggested shooter error - I replied "I wondered when that might come up" (5th time back). Next return, I sent targets - same day, same conditions - 22 Taurus shot 6" groups off of knees, 25 yards. Anaconda, full house 1 1/4" groups same - witnessed. Taurus worked on - 3 1/2" groups (not acceptable to me) - went down the road, shortly thereafter. Never owned one since.

Are they as nice as a $4000.00 Nighthawk? No. I've owned several all went bang every time. I'd own again.
Bangflop! another skinning job due to .260 and proper shot placement.

I've owned several Taurus DA revolvers in 357 MAG and 44 SPL, still have 3 that have been shot extensively. The 4" stainless 441 is one of my favorite to carry afield. When I got it, the forcing cone was both sharp and square which cause it to spit lead from the gap between the cylinder and the barrel. That problem was eliminated after being tuned and having the forcing cone reamed by Ahlman's.

Years ago I was invited to a Safari Club International dinner. I won a Taurus Raging Bull in 454C. That thing spit lead like crazy! Maybe it was the forcing cone? Or the timing? Whatever it was I never had it looked at or fixed. My buddy that had invited me to the dinner wanted it, so I sold it to him for what I had in it... $25! Lol! He went on to use it for years handgun hunting.

Over the years I have temporarily owned several Taurus revolvers, and auto pistols. I always shoot them a little before I find them another home, and they always work just fine. Never had a single problem, but to hear the world speak, I'm the only one with such luck. I will say the most accurate revolver I have ever shot was a quite mind blowing sub MOA Taurus Raging Bull in .480. Had it been chambered for almost any other cartridge I would have bought it on the spot.

Now that I think about it...
A friend brought me a Taurus .357 that was light striking SA, not DA. So I got all excited and expected to see so bad quality control. Turns out, someone took a file to the hammer and just straight ruined it. Replaced the hammer, and she's good to go.

But you always move them on... lol!
My example was/is an example of 1.
Typically, threads like this expose more of the bad than the good. But I can honestly say, of all the revolvers I own/have owned, nothing "spit" like that Raging Bull did.
