Been thinking about tinkering with building one of these. Who uses them? Any problems? Suggestions?

Only problem id see would be the plastic getting brittle over time.
Unless you are just talking about the cage. Wrap in goat panels and burlap?

The plastic getting brittle is a concern. If I could get 10 years out of it I would be surprised.

Are you going to give it a whirl? Have thought about the same concept. Readily available and cheap.

I use mine!
I irrigate the trees with them.
Even use them for electric fence, .

Has anyone used one first hand? Does the plastic get brittle?

It will take years to get brittle.
Not nearly as much room as you think inside of one.
Are you planning to cut the top out of it?

Thought was to cut the top out of two and then stack them so there would still be a roof and room to stand up
