Pat McManus books are entertaining.

These three Ts will keep him going for a while
The Monarch Of Deadman's Bay by Roger Caras Three Against The Wilderness by Eric Collier Trophies Won And Lost by G O Young
I have them all. They have been read so often you’d think it was enough, but they don’t seem to get old.

Wilderness Hunting and Wildcraft by Townsend Whelen is a worthwhile book. I see it is readily available.

Theres a bunch of books written by an old timey guy that hunted man eating tigers and leopards in india professionally. The whole exotic hunting thing isnt exactly my cup of tea, but a friend loaned the books to me and they were awesome. I gave them back after reading, then bought the same books as a gift for my dad. Very cool, but cant recall the authors name. Guessing somebody here can pipe in with the info. Highly recommended, even for a guy, like me, thats never been into the safari / hunting exotics thing. Jim corbett. Look up his books

The Ted Trueblood Hunting Treasury. One of the best books on hunting out there. Ted was an incredible writer and outdoorsman.

suggest for me please a few books to buy for a "vintage" hunter friend of mine whos now house bound. Hes early in his early 80's what would he have read from the 50's and 60's? Western hunting preferable but not exclusive....and i think he already has all of O'Connor and cant stand Ole Elmer! Thanks Peter Capstick, maybe?

I have some great Russell Moccasin high top snake proof lace up bird hunters with the Camo Nylon panels. Great boots, made to your foot print. Everyone should bless themselves with at least one pair of custom boots in their lifetime. (Come on NVsucker, go for it like you did last time).

65Jeffrey; Good evening to you sir, I hope the day behaved for you and you're well. Kudos for helping out an old friend before I go on with my list, it's a kind gesture. Here's a few I like to re-read that are in my library and the links for them from abebooks who I've dealt with on many books and have always been happy with the condition they've described and the service. Also, it's not Amazon, you know? Meditations on Hunting by Jose Ortega y Gassett https://www.abebooks.com/servlet/Se...p;sortby=17&tn=meditations%20huntingThe Greatest Hunting Stories Ever Told is a wonderful collection. https://www.abebooks.com/9781585741...e-1585741418/plp?cm_sp=plped-_-1-_-imageOur own John Barnsness' The Life of the Hunt might be still available from him at riflesandrecipes.com, but if not then here's one. https://www.abebooks.com/9781885106179/Life-Hunt-Barsness-John-1885106173/plpI'll take a look at some that I've enjoyed more than others tomorrow and make some additions. All the best and thanks again for the kindness to a friend. Dwayne
