This rifle is the first I ever purchased. It was on consignment on the rack in the gun store where I took my hunter's safety course about 5 years ago, as a middle aged newcomer to the pursuit.
It needs a needs a new home. I can't afford to have it collecting dust any more. I'm sorry to see my first friend of a firearm head out of the house. Nothing I do merits such a fine and powerful tool.
All I know about it is what you see in the photos. It's got the old school stainless Leupold scope, the sling, the recoil pad. I'm selling the ammo shown as well. Some of the prior owner's handloads plus a few boxes I bought in a more hopeful spending spree. It's all I've got and I won't need it.

$1150 to your FFL Pretty sure I managed to attach some photos here. I will try to add more.
That's actually a good question. I will go and find out this evening. I can get a close up as well. I looked it up on the Leupold site and I think I have paperwork somewhere but again I'd have to dig back. It's been literally 4.5 years since I shot it or used it for anything at all.
The adjustable magnification ring should have the range of power of the scope on it as should the gold ring around the bell of the scope after you remove the front scope cap
You've got the scope in your possession and have to look it up on a website to tell us the magnification? Listing this rifle for sale is your first post on this site? This seems kind of odd.
Here's the thing - the rifle has been put away, untouched, since I took the photos and first listed it in March. I don't keep that info at the top of my head as I'm more concerned about my other rifles that I actually use more regularly.
To be honest before posting this I didn't even pull it out, I simply dug into iCloud for the photos I took back in February or March, whenever I first posted on Rokslide.
I pulled it out this morning and it's 3-9. I do know where to look, thanks. I didn't measure the objective nor put calipers on the tube but it looks like a 1" tube and 42mm objective.
In fact, I've personally shot the rifle a total of 12-15 times. I carried it, never fired, on two hunts in 2018. That is the sum total of my interaction with the weapon. I bought a Tikka in the winter of 2019 and another one in the summer of 2019 and those became the weapons I carried for the next few years.
And when I say look it up on the website, it's to try and figure out what model it is, because it's old and discontinued. Based on internet photos it appears to be a VX-II 3-9 x 40.

Pull the butler creek off the objective and it will tell you exactly what it is. Should be written there, like someone else said. It would be nice to know what model scope it is. If it is a 3-9, it is more likely to be a 3-9x40.

You are going to have to do better than that. When selling anything, it is better to be specific. Stop guessing and pull that butler creek off.. Post a picture of it too, so we know you have the rifle in hand..
