A buddy (J257) who posts here had him reline a 92 Winchester. Pure s hit, garbage, trash work. We bore scoped the bore, and it was bad, really bad. Looked like the liner was installed using a dull rat tail file.

One thing that people are forgetting is that the 280 Rem's shoulder is further foward than the .30-06! This would cause problems!
HIp The gun is already chambered in 280 AI. All good.
