The Talleys will be removed and replaced with Leupold DD or SK mounts. Why switch out the Talleys? Very nice rifle, BTW. Needs to be hunted.

I would have said they look like schidt and I hate messing with vertical split rings. ha ha.. I love DD's as well, but your rifle is a notch above a regular ol pre 64. You will probably think about using a set of S&K's or Conetrols, just to spruce it up a little more than the plain ol DD's..
I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA

Plus they stick up above the scope and snag on chidt. Most things are more aesthetically pleasing to my eye.

Wow, very nice! Congratulations. Be sure to let us know what load you settle on.
"An archer sees how far he can be from a target and still hit it, a bowhunter sees how close he can get before he shoots." It is certainly easy to use that same line of thinking with firearms. -- Unknown

Mike, load development will begin with 140, 150 and 160 Partitions over H4350.
The rifle will decide.
