Oil bearings on stationary engines.

I think you set them to drip to oil bearings.

Found in my grandpa's basement a couple of years ago when he passed.

I am not 100% sure as all images I find are just a pic of the oiler itself.

We used something similar on vacuum pumps in the dairy barn, back when I was a young man.
Drip oiler. Seems they were used on the old "one lung" engines, IIRC.

That's a lot of what I am seeing. Hit n miss engine.

They're used a lot in industry. Some are set up for drip oilers, some used for a constant level oiler.

We used them in the oil patch on the old hit and miss gas engines to oil the Babbitt bearings. Some of them were Reid, Bessemer, one they called a half breed or Pennzoil special. Sure miss hearing them things run.

We were turkey hunting out around Kingfisher Oklahoma several years back. At night you could here those old engines popping off at wells in the area.
