A one of a kind here, so value is up in the air I suppose. This is a heavily customized Remington 1901 rolling block that I bought recently, thinking I would rebarrel it.
The idea I had is both too expensive and not practical, so I thought I would offer this to guys on here who appreciate historical firearms and might even want to build with it.
It's a 7x57, bore is very clean and nice for its age. Forend and stock have been replaced with beautiful figured and carved wood, and barrel has been drilled and tapped for scope use.
Action appears to work fine and has a lot of spring power left. It has a nice patina and looks very classic despite the modifications.
I have pics I will send to anyone interested. I have no idea on how to value this but I will start it at $600 shipped to your FFL.
