Another one bites the dust! Wife and I had one helluva week! Saturday morning the rain finally gave way to a very light mist and then just cloudy skies. This guy came cruising through about 8:45, freshening scrapes and licking branches. Thanks so much for the photos, I always enjoy being able to tag along on your hunts vicariously via the pictures.
While I have seen a wolf and so help me we're still hoping to see a local one again this season, I've never seen a wolverine so that's a bit of a Grail Critter for me personally.

Dwayne Good morning Dwayne…always a pleasure to get a response from you. I have never seen a wolverine either (that I could confirm, anyhow) that wasn’t in a trap. Being that I have seen a few dozen wolves and probably 20 or so mountain lions at random (without hounds) that lends credibility to the rarity of seeing wolverines in the wild. It is just an old beater rifle I keep around. I was bombing around the desert, scouting for mule deer near Devil’s Playground WSA just west of Flaming Gorge Res in WY.
I have a pic through my spotter of a great deer I spotted that day but can’t find it on my phone. I never did see him again and ended up shooting a different buck that year.
