We tried flying a game survey this morning but the wind grounded us, did see a nice buck right after daylight. Rio7

I was a police helicopter pilot for 13 years. I spotted some huge bucks from the chopper right in the city limits of Columbus Ohio. The biggest buck I ever saw was off of the west end of Port Columbus International (now John Glenn International) airport. We were sweeping the runways and watching for possible threats for Air Force One who was arriving shortly. He was a booner for sure.

Deer LOVE the city limits!

When I first got married in Minnesota, we lived within 1/2 mile of a reservoir piece of property.

yo could hike on the property, but it was closed to hunting...it was right in the metro area, near the junction of I 35E and I 694, the northern and east beltway around St Paul.

There were so many deer in there, one fall they removed 700 deer in there, and took them north about 200 miles and let them all loose...

Next fall they did the same thing again, removed another 700 deer and took them up north and let them loose.

We moved when we bought a house. on the NW side of Minneapolis.. but several seasons after that, they did the exact same thing...
removed another 700 deer, 2 different seasons.... IIRC, the property coveredd a couple of square miles... removing over 2800 deer in like 5 year period.
