Sad part is, there’s no real lesson here. The guy was high on drugs, he probably never felt the punch, nor will he remember the incident.
Obey lawful commands. Video interactions. Hold bad cops accountable. Problem solved.

Good for him. Sitting on someone is assault- and should be defended/retaliated. Hell, if this guy had AIDS, that is Assault with a deadly weapon.

I'd like to see the video, but...

The video shows what appears to be Cruz spitting in the direction of Webster.
Webster then, according to the video, rushes at Cruz and appears to punch him at least twice before other people restrain him.
Why was the Fire Dept LT in the hospital next to the patient? Why were the cops not in control of the situation?
It seems that he was forcibly transported to the hospital, but why would a FD LT be there..? Obv, they are both sheit people, but that druggie really got the best of that LT, and I do hope he is fired without benefits or pension, as there is no excuse for ANYONE to start striking an individual who is already restrained. As an authority figure, he should have known better, and most likely not even been there in the first place, as I'm sure FD LTs have more important sheit to do than transport patients... druggie gets another charge, and LT looses his career... I guess the LT thought it was a fair trade.
